Background
For over 30 years I have had a passion for studying different world languages, structures and cultures. For more than 25 of those years I have been teaching, interpreting and translating many of those languages. My love of languages began as a very young child when my grandmother introduced to me German. I also grew up with American Sign Language and worked as an ASL interpreter for several years while at university. I studied Spanish, French and Russian linguistics at Purdue University. I am co-owner of Indy Translations, a language services company, where I worked in linguistic quality assurance, and I also am a translator and interpreter.
In my free time I enjoy reading, studying languages, movies, spending time with my two dogs and traveling as much as possible. I am also a huge plant nerd, especially tropical plants and palm trees.
